International Court in Hague is starting considering the appeals of the residents of South Ossetia
On 9 September the International Court in Hague will start the hearings on the appeal of the citizens of Russia – the citizens of the RSO that suffered as the result of the Georgian military aggression and the genocide of the Ossetian people in August of 2008.
According to the Prosecutor of the RSO Taimuraz Khugaev “all appeals will be considered separately. To date we have already about 300 appeals”.
“We rendered juridical assistance to the inhabitants of our Republic; we helped to gather testimonies, photos and i.e.”, he noted.
According to Taimuraz Khugaev the non-governmental public Commission on the genocide that arrived from Russia and which is headed by Olga Kostina actively works on collecting and investigating the facts of genocide of the citizens of South Ossetia.
To date the appeals are being prepared to the Strasburg Court on the human rights.
